London’s Star Wars celebration announces panels and guests

The initial Star Wars Celebration London panels and attendees have been made public.

The official fan event, which alternates annually between the United States and another country, is going to London, United Kingdom. The ExCel convention facility in London will be under the Force’s control from April 7 through 10.

The Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7 promises to feature the “current crop of live-action filmmakers” as well as special guests to discuss “Star Wars” projects including “The Mandalorian,” “Andor,” and more. This is one of the highlights of the festival.

exec producers Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will be there on Saturday to give fans a sneak peek at the upcoming “Ahsoka” series, while on Monday Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Indira Varma will visit to talk about “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

Filmmakers from Aardman, Cartoon Saloon, and other studios will join “Star Wars: Visions” executive producers to discuss the partnership, giving attendees a peek of “Star Wars: Visions Volume 2” as well.

Over the course of the weekend, additional panels will examine “Star Wars” production design, costumes, and props as well as how the IP has been interpreted in other media, such as toys from Funko and Hasbro, publishing (Marvel editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski will moderate a panel), and theme park rides, with a talk from the Walt Disney Imagineers.

The joyous weekend may also reveal some information about the ‘Star Wars’ movie universe’s future. Two feature films, one from “Wonder Woman” filmmaker Patty Jenkins and the other from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, are no longer in active development, Variety reported earlier this week.

The Star Wars Celebration from the previous year, held in Anaheim, featured a lot of news as well as unexpected guest appearances from visitors like Harrison Ford.
