Is Wes Anderson making another movie? Here’s all that you need to know about it!

Wes Anderson, fresh off his Oscar win, made a splash at the Annecy Animation Festival, where he gave fans a sneak peek into his forthcoming feature film, The Phoenician Scheme. This new project is set to feature a constellation of Hollywood’s brightest stars, and Anderson was eager to share insights into its production.

Wes Anderson Shares Shooting Details About His Next Feature Film

During the festival, Anderson revealed, “I recently completed a film in Germany, featuring probably a hundred people who have collaborated with me on previous projects. There could be a large number of cast members returning.”

He reflected on his unique filmmaking process: “It seems strange to people who are new to the set or to the process of making one of my movies. It’s not always how movies are made in general. That probably describes all directors. We use our own unique approaches, which were somewhat inspired by my very first film.”

Who are the Cast Members of Wes Anderson’s Upcoming Film?

According to the San Antonio Express-News, The Phoenician Scheme boasts a stellar cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Michael Cera, Bill Murray, and Benicio Del Toro. Consequence Film reports that this film is a father-daughter espionage tale with a darker tone than Anderson’s previous works, marking a notable shift from his typical style.

The ensemble cast, which wrapped up production in Germany, also features Bryan Cranston, Willem Dafoe, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hanks, Riz Ahmed, and Rupert Friend. Although an official release date hasn’t been announced, the movie is expected to hit theaters in 2025.

With such an impressive lineup and the promise of a new narrative direction, The Phoenician Scheme is shaping up to be one of Wes Anderson’s most anticipated films yet. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches!
