The upcoming season of the show will return on ABC Thursday March 14 at 9 p.m. E.T.

What plot can we expect from Grey’s Anatomy season 20?

The show is expected to pick up from where it left in season 19 with several characters in danger. Richard Webber, played by James Pickens Jr., was the verge of falling off the wagon and taking a drink with Teddy Altman, played by Kim Raver. The latter had been complaining about the tooth ache and suddenly fell unconscious on the floor of the operating room.

Speaking of Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, she might be risking her career by taking her Alzheimer research public despite her work contradicting decades of studies.

And, obviously, there is romance among the Seattle doctors. After years of will-they-won’t-they drama, Jo Wilson, played by Camilla Luddington, and Atticus ‘Link’ Lincoln, played by Chris Carmack, finally admitted their feelings to one another. Meanwhile, intern Simon Griffith, played by Alexis Floyd, will be ditching her groom for Lucas Adams, played by Niko Terho, on her wedding day.
