Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Matty Healy’s throwback clips explains her latest album title track Helly

A throwback clip has resurfaced on the internet showing Taylor Swift’s ex- boyfriend Matty Healy gushing over his love of typewriters and being in love with pop stars amidst the release of her album The Tortured Poets Department.

The footage is from his interview for GQ from 2018, wherein he reveals that his notebook was one of the 10 things he could not live without.

“Why would you need a notebook if you got a phone, right? It could do the same thing. It’s kind of a fair point,” he said.

While holding up a book, which read ‘Dirty Hit’ on the front, the singer added that it is not any kind of romance to have a notebook. He further shared that he also has a thing for typewriters, but he do not own any because it is quite “impractical.”

The resurfaced clip left the Swifties in frenzy as they have reasons to believe that Taylor drew a reference towards her ex- boyfriend in her latest album.

In the album’s title track, Swift alluded to Helly, singing, “You left your typewriter at my apartment / Straight from the Tortured Poets Department / I think some thing I never say.”

The Grammy winner was romantically linked to the 1975 front man in June 2023.
