On March 8, 2024, Women’s Day, Shaitaan, featuring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan in the key roles, was released in theatres. It will now be available in May 2024 on OTT.
The psychological thriller, which is a Hindi version of the popular Gujarati film “Vash,” won plaudits from both reviewers and viewers for its compelling plot, superb cinematography, and cast of standout performances. On May 3, 2024, Shaitaan will be available on Netflix.
Kabir and his family are the main subjects of the film. The teaser makes it clear that when a stranger named Vanraj visits their farmhouse, their tranquil existence becomes a nightmare. Using black magic, Vanraj seizes control of Janvi, Kabir’s daughter, and demands that her parents give her up to him.
Nevertheless, Kabir and Jyoti decline to comply with his malevolent demands. When Vanraj begins torturing Kabir and his family, the narrative picks even more intensity. The movie’s moral is that, despite evil’s might, virtue will always triumph over it in the end, and Kabir must now battle to preserve his daughter and his family.
Ajay Devgn plays Kabir, R Madhavan plays Vanraj, Jyothika plays Jyoti, Kabir’s wife; Janki Bodiwala plays Janvi, Kabir and Jyoti’s daughter; and Anngad Raaj plays Dhruv, Kabir and Jyoti’s son, are just a few of the outstanding actors that appear in Shaitaan.
The thriller drama is written and directed by Aamil Keeyan Khan and is distributed by Jio Studios, Panorama Studios, and Devgn Films, with production credits going to Vikas Bahl, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Ajay Devgn, and Jyoti Deshpande. Sandeep Francis was in charge of editing, while Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti handled cinematography.
Shaitaan became one of the biggest grossers of 2024 after making a big splash at the box office during its premiere. The picture is receiving great reviews from the public despite receiving little promotion, and the positive word-of-mouth is evident in the box office results.
The movie has been making money gradually even though it has only been in screens for about a month, and it is shortly expected to surpass the Rs 200 crore milestone worldwide.
