Ranveer Singh reveals Deepika Padukone’s funny Gujarati nickname; Find out

While promoting Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer singh shares what he calls his wife Deepika Padukone in Gujarati.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh’s latest comedy-drama, recently hit the theaters. Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak also starred in the film. In the movie, The Band Baaja Baaraat actor plays the lead character, the son of a traditional Gujarati sarpanch who believes in gender equality in society. He recently disclosed the funniest Gujrati nickname for his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, during the film’s promotion.

Ranveer released the video on his social media account, in which he is seen alongside Divyang Thakkar, the director of his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The director is seen speaking in English to put Ranveer’s Gujarati accent to the test. When Divyang asked him to translate over-smart into Gujarati, the actor replied, “chapli.” He then said,  “I call your bhabhi (Deepika) chapli.” Ranveer then captioned the video saying,  “Your Gujju Accent is so sexy. #jayeshbhaijordaar.”

In the meantime, The Gully Boy Actor will next be seen in Karan Johar’s romantic drama film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios are producing the film, which will be released in theaters globally on February 10, 2023. Ranveer and Alia will grace the couch of Karan Johar’s chat program, Koffee With Karan 7.
