
Madhu Chopra and Siddharth Chopra, mother and brother of global actress Priyanka Chopra, have leased out a premium residential property in Pune’s upscale Koregaon Park locality for a monthly rent of Rs. 2.25 lakh, as per property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The transaction was officially registered in February 2025.
The leased property, measuring 4,800 sq. ft, is located in one of Pune’s most elite neighbourhoods, known for its leafy avenues, heritage homes, and proximity to business districts like Kalyani Nagar and Pune Airport. The lease agreement includes a 36-month lock-in period, a security deposit of Rs. 13.5 lakh, and an annual rent escalation of 5%. By the fifth year, the rent will increase to Rs. 2.73 lakh per month, taking the total expected rental income over the five-year term to Rs. 1.49 crore.
Square Yards revealed that the Chopras purchased this property in August 2017 for Rs. 5.6 crore. Based on the initial rent, the property yields a rental return of 4.8%, which is projected to rise to 5.86% by the end of the tenure.
Koregaon Park continues to attract high-value real estate interest. Between December 2023 and December 2024, 136 residential sale transactions worth Rs. 125 crore were registered in the area, with the average property price standing at Rs. 17,250 per sq. ft as of December 2024.
Priyanka Chopra, who now resides in the US, is an acclaimed actress, producer, and the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Padma Shri in 2016.
