After hours of investigation, Comedian Bharti Singh‘s husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa was arrested. As per the reports, the couple consumed marijuana. The couple has been arrested and was escorted to NCB zonal office. According to Pinkvilla, The NCB chief, Sameer Wankhede, Zonal NCB director confirmed that after the couple’s arrest, their staff is also being questioned.
Wankhede revealed to Pinkvilla and said, “There are some people who are being looked at and members of her staff are also being investigated and questioned by the NCB.” The anti-drug agency revealed that her house staff is being examined in the case to get to the source of the supplier.
NCB earlier that release the statement stating, “Both Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa accepted consuming ganja. Ms. Singh was placed under arrest under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.”
NCB official said a ‘small quantity of cannabis’ (86.5gms) was found from their home in Andheri. The quantity of drugs found at the couple’s home was not commercial but could still invite up to 10 years in jail, according to officials.
According to an NCB official, Ms. Singh’s name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler. On Saturday, the agency at the same time carried out searches at the other two places in Mumbai.
Earlier this month, Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend were called for questioning in the drug case. Even Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh were called for questioning.
