After being the first one to report in March 2019, that reality TV star Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire in the United States of America, Forbes magazine on Friday reported Jenner is not actually a billionaire.
The 22-year-old reality TV sensation’s Kylie Cosmetics was launched with $29 lip kits containing matching lipstick and lip liner and has since sold more than $630 million worth of makeup.
Kylie Cosmetics was launched in 2016, and the reputed magazine revealed it valued nearly $800 million and that Kylie was the 100 per cent owner. But on Friday, Forbes reported saying “Kylie claimed her cosmetics company was on track to sell more than $300 million in makeup that year. But in reality, it only did $125 million.”
Kylie is the half-sister of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. The magazine slammed the Kardashian-Jenner family of “white lies, omissions and outright fabrications” and compared it to US President Donald Trump’s obsession with his net worth.
Jenner took to her Twitter to write, “I can name a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money I have”. as a reaction to magazine’s claim.
