JoJo Siwa turned heads at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on March 27 in Los Angeles, debuting a daring new look. The Dance Moms alum shaved the sides of her head, leaving a mohawk that blended Pride flag colors on one side and transgender flag colors on the other. Adding extra flair, the white portion of her hair featured jewel embellishments for extra sparkle.
Siwa, who came out as LGBTQ+ in 2021, didn’t stop at her hairstyle—she wore a statement jacket with the words “Trans rights are human rights” and a shield with crossed swords on the back, reading “Protect trans kids.” She paired the bold look with bedazzled shorts and high-tops to complete her signature sparkly aesthetic.
JoJo Siwa’s Advocacy and Public Presence
Siwa, 21, has used her platform to support the LGBTQ+ community since coming out at age 17. Speaking about her journey, she once shared:
“I’ve known since I was little,” and her mother, Jessalynn Siwa, affirmed, “A mother knows.”
At the event, Siwa attended with Kath Ebbs, whom she has reportedly been dating since December 2024. The two were spotted embracing and sharing a sweet moment during the evening.
Upcoming Tour & Future Projects
Siwa has been making waves in the music industry as well. Earlier this week, she announced a North American tour, complete with VIP packages that allow fans to get a behind-the-scenes experience of her show setup.
