“We broke up in therapy. I didn’t know it was coming,” said Courtney, who first started dating the ‘Snow Patrol’ singer in 2013 after being introduced by mutual friend, Ed Sheeran.

The Friends alum continued that they visited a therapist to talk about their boundaries and also about what things they could accept and couldn’t accept about their partner.

But, as the actress claimed, Johnny had other plans as “withing the first minute” of the therapy session, he called off their engagement.

She explained that Johnny was actually in a lot of pain, which made him take the drastic step, which in return left her shock.

“There was that much that needed to be dealt with that he had to protect himself around his heart,” she stated. Courtney added that instead of leaving him right there and then, she “leaned in and… did the most on” herself by far.

In the end, the particular therapy session turned out to be a positive turning point in couple’s relationship.
