Amitabh Bachchan, the Bollywood megastar, has responded to rumours of India’s name change. For the uninitiated, the Narendra Modi-led Central government is apparently planning to remove the word India from the Constitution and alter the country’s official name to ‘Bharat’.
Big B took to his official X (previously known as Twitter) account on Tuesday (September 5) to express his support for the name change.
He wrote, “भारत माता की जय,” and added the Indian flag emoticon in his post.
