
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has reportedly sold two apartments in Oberoi Sky City, Borivali, Mumbai, for a combined value of Rs. 6.6 crore. The transactions, registered in March 2025, were confirmed through documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra government’s property registration portal (IGR).
Oberoi Sky City, a premium residential project developed by Oberoi Realty, is spread across 25 acres and offers ready-to-move-in 3BHK and duplex apartments. Located in Borivali East, the area is known for its proximity to Sanjay Gandhi National Park and excellent connectivity.
In one transaction, Akshay Kumar sold a 1,080 sq. ft apartment for Rs. 5.35 crore, which he had originally purchased in 2017 for Rs. 2.82 crore. This sale reflects an 89% appreciation. The deal incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 32.1 lakh and a registration fee of Rs. 30,000.
In the second transaction, Kumar sold an adjoining 252 sq. ft apartment for Rs. 1.25 crore, purchased for Rs. 67.19 lakh in 2017, showing an 86% appreciation. This transaction included a stamp duty of Rs. 7.5 lakh and the same registration fee.
Notably, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan also invested in the same project in May 2024, according to property records.
From March 2024 to February 2025, Oberoi Sky City recorded 208 registered resale deals amounting to Rs. 818 crore. The average property price in the project is Rs. 44,577 per sq. ft, indicating sustained demand in the luxury housing segment.
