Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has confirmed the third installment of the Kesari franchise, revealing that Kesari 3 will revolve around the life and battles of General Hari Singh Nalwa. The announcement came during the trailer launch event of Kesari 2 in Delhi, where the actor shared that discussions about the project had already begun.

“We have to prepare for Kesari 3 now. We were just talking about it this morning. We are thinking of making it on Hari Singh Nalwa. What do you guys say? Punjab ka roop dikhayenge sabko,” Akshay said.

Hari Singh Nalwa was a prominent commander under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the first commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Fauj. Known for his military brilliance, he played a crucial role in defending Punjab from Afghan invasions through the Khyber Pass and led major battles in Kasur, Sialkot, Attock, Multan, Kashmir, Peshawar, and Jamrud.

Meanwhile, Kesari 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, is set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and follows the courtroom battle led by lawyer C Sankaran Nair. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is slated for release on April 18.

With Kesari 3 now in the works, fans of the franchise can look forward to another powerful historical saga celebrating Sikh bravery and resilience.
