Work from home: Apple comes with a proposition to give a bonus of US $1000 to its employees

Apple Inc had earlier decided to call their employees back to offices in February, which has already been shifted several times even when they were at a stone’s throw.

Amidst the resurgence in COVID-19 cases due to a new variant, omicron, in all around the world, Apple Inc has decided to buckle under the pandemic and further delay its office-return deadline from February 1 to “date yet to be determined”. Due to lack of a firm date the company has been facing turmoil in getting their operations back to normal.

The iPhone makers in order to cope up with the situation and provide a sustainable WFH environment to its employees has come up with a proposition to give a bonus of $1,000 to its retail employees hired before March 31, while those who joined after that date will be given a one time bonus of $500. The workers were informed via a memo sent by CEO Tim crook.

The Chief executive officer of the company has urged employees to get vaccinated so as to keep their family and the community safe. The company also stated that the employees will be informed 4 weeks prior to the return-to-work deadline comes into effect.

The call for this decision by the California based company can be seen attempt to get attract more the workers towards them as the company is facing continued labor shortages in the iphone 13 launch season as well as busy holiday shopping season.
