Orient Green Power Company has announced the completion of the erection of two wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a combined capacity of 6.6 MW in Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu. This development is part of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with Renfra Energy India Limited, aimed at setting up three WTGs of 3.3 MW each, totalling 9.9 MW.
The two WTGs, manufactured by Envision, have now received service connection as of 20 March 2026. The company is in the process of completing the remaining procedural formalities, with commissioning expected to be completed shortly.
Additionally, the implementation of the remaining 3.3 MW capacity is currently underway, and further updates on its status will be provided in due course. This project signifies Orient Green Power‘s foray into power generation using higher-capacity wind turbine generators.
