NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has announced the commercial operation of the second part capacity of its solar photovoltaic project in Andhra Pradesh. The newly operational capacity of 91.6 MW is part of a larger 250 MW Solar PV Project managed by Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
The commercial operation date (COD) for this segment was declared as 27th February 2026, following certification from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). The first part capacity of 158.4 MW had already commenced operations earlier, as disclosed on 20th February 2026.
With this addition, the total installed capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited Group now stands at 9,292.68 MW, while the overall installed capacity of the NTPC group has reached 88,274 MW, with a commercial capacity of 87,194 MW.
