NTPC Limited has announced the declaration of commercial operation date (COD) for the eighth and final segment of its Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat, adding 105 MW to its total capacity. This development brings NTPC‘s total installed capacity to 90,773 MW, with a commercial capacity of 88,893 MW. The Khavda-II project, a part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and a stepdown subsidiary through NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), is a significant step in the company’s renewable energy expansion.
The Khavda-II Solar PV Project is part of a larger 1,200 MW solar initiative, reflecting NTPC’s commitment to enhancing its renewable energy portfolio. The project is strategically located in Gujarat, a state known for its favourable solar energy conditions. With the completion of this project, NTPC continues to solidify its position as a leading energy provider in India, focusing on sustainable and renewable energy sources.
