The NSE, acting as the lead exchange, issued a letter on 5th May 2026, levying a penalty on the company for alleged violations of Regulation 19(1) and 19(2) of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. These regulations pertain to the composition of committees within the company.
The violations were noted for the consecutive quarters ending on 31st March 2023 and 30th June 2023. In response to the penalty, Jaiprakash Power Ventures has paid a total of ₹2,40,720, including GST, to the NSE. Additionally, a payment of ₹2,07,680, including GST, was made to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for the same alleged violations.
Despite the financial penalty, the company has stated that there is no quantifiable impact on its financial, operational, or other activities as a result of this action.
