Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has approved the re-appointment of Sudhir Sitapati as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a further period of five years, according to an exchange filing by the company.
The renewed tenure will commence from October 18, 2026, and continue until October 17, 2031, subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming 26th Annual General Meeting.
Sitapati has been serving as the Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Consumer Products since 2021 and has led the company’s strategic transformation across key emerging markets. The company said his leadership has been focused on strengthening the health and beauty portfolio while driving long-term business growth.
Prior to joining Godrej Consumer Products, Sitapati spent more than two decades at Hindustan Unilever, where he handled multiple categories and functions across India, Europe, South East Asia, and Africa. His last role at HUL was Executive Director – Foods and Refreshments.
Apart from his corporate leadership roles, Sitapati also serves as Chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s FMCG Committee and has previously co-chaired the CII National Committee on Food Processing.
Academically, he holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics Honours from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. He was also recognised as the Young Alumni Achiever by IIM Ahmedabad in 2017.
GCPL stated that there are no inter-se relationships between Sitapati and any of the directors of the company.
