Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has acquired 4,60,340 equity shares of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited. The transaction, valued at ₹22,82,88,373.79, took place on 20th March 2026.
The acquisition was disclosed in a filing submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under Regulation 7(2) of the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015. The shares were bought at a total cost inclusive of all charges.
GNFC, a promoter of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited, has committed to holding the acquired shares for a minimum period of six months. If there is an urgent need to sell these shares within this period, the company will seek necessary approval from the Compliance Officer.
The filing also stated that GNFC would preserve relevant documents such as the broker’s contract note, proof of payment, and bank statements for a period of three years, and produce them to the Compliance Officer or SEBI if required.
