Godrej Agrovet has announced the re-appointment of Dr. Ashok Gulati as a Non-Executive & Independent Director for a second term. This new term will commence on 7 May 2026 and conclude on 10 May 2029, pending shareholder approval.
The decision was made by the Board of Directors based on the recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Dr. Gulati, who is not related to the promoters or promoter group, meets the independence criteria as outlined in the Companies Act, 2013 and the SEBI regulations.
Dr. Ashok Gulati is a Distinguished Professor at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER). His extensive experience includes serving as Chairman of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) and as an Independent Director on the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), among other notable roles.
He has also been involved in policy analysis and advisory roles, having served on the Economic Advisory Council of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and other significant government bodies. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2015.
The Board also approved seeking shareholder approval via postal ballot for Dr. Gulati’s re-appointment. This move aligns with the company’s commitment to maintaining a board composed of experienced and independent directors.
