Jain Irrigation Systems Limited reported a consolidated net loss of ₹12 crore for the fourth quarter, compared to a profit of ₹29 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Despite the loss at the bottom line level, the company posted growth in both revenue and operating performance during the quarter.

Revenue from operations for the quarter rose 4.3% year-on-year to ₹1,824 crore, compared to ₹1,749 crore reported in the same period last year.

EBITDA for the quarter increased 7.3% to ₹240 crore against ₹224 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA margin also improved to 13.2% from 12.8% on a year-on-year basis, indicating better operational efficiency during the period.

The company operates across irrigation systems, piping, agro-processing and renewable energy-linked agri solutions. Jain Irrigation is among India’s key players in micro-irrigation and water management technologies, catering to both domestic and international markets.

The improvement in operating metrics comes amid continued focus on cost optimisation and operational efficiencies. However, the company reported a net loss during the quarter despite higher EBITDA and revenue growth.

Investors will closely monitor management commentary around demand trends in the agriculture and irrigation segments, working capital management and future profitability outlook in the coming quarters.
