Gentari, which is a Malaysia-based clean energy solutions provider on Monday announced the appointment of Navjit Gill as its new country head for India, effective from July 10.

Navjit will be bringing 34 years of experience in the energy and marine sectors to his new role. He also served as the CEO of First Energy Pvt Ltd and the Chief Commercial Officer at SB Energy.

The company in its statement added, “Throughout his illustrious career, he has held key positions at GE Renewables India Pvt Ltd, Rolls-Royce Marine India Pvt Ltd, and KSK Energy Ventures, Further solidifying his expertise and accomplishments within the energy industry. Navjit began at Wartsila, where he spent almost 17 years in various assignments.”

Navjit will be heading the team in growing all three core pillars, fortifying its presence not only in the commercial and industrial sector by 2025 but also in the utility-scale renewables, as well as collaborating to strengthen the ambitions of company to become leaders in green hydrogen and expansion of green mobility footprint. The company also pursue opportunities in areas where it can offer clean energy solutions.

Gentari is part of Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas major Petroliam Nasional Berhad popularly known as Petronas and works in three core portfolios: renewable energy, hydrogen and green mobility.
