EMS Limited has been awarded the lowest bidder (L-1) status by UP Jal Nigam (Urban) for two significant construction projects in Varanasi. The projects, which involve surveying, soil investigation, and the design and supply of all necessary materials and labour, are valued at approximately ₹14,379.53 lakh and ₹6,484.93 lakh, excluding GST.
The first project entails the laying of sewer networks and house connection work in 18 problematic wards, including Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur, under the jurisdiction of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi. This project is set to be completed on a turn-key basis within 24 months.
The second project involves similar work in two wards, Hukulganj and Nai Basti, also under Nagar Nigam, Varanasi. This project includes the construction of a 23 MLD sewage pumping station and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Both projects are domestic contracts awarded to EMS Limited, which will execute the work as per the terms and conditions outlined in the contracts. The company has confirmed that there is no promoter or group company interest in the awarding entities, and the contracts do not fall under related party transactions.
