Zomato is set to revolutionize the ticket booking experience with its innovative “Book Now, Sell Anytime” feature, launching on September 30, 2024, starting with the Zomato Feeding India Concert. This first-of-its-kind offering from an Indian ticketing platform aims to provide customers with a seamless, secure, and stress-free way to book tickets in advance, while also accommodating the uncertainties of planning.

Understanding that plans can change, Zomato’s new feature allows users to purchase tickets as soon as they become available. If circumstances require a change, customers can list their tickets for resale on the Zomato app at a price that can be lower or higher than the original purchase price, capped at twice the current phase price. For example, if an Early Bird ticket is bought for ₹1,000 and the current phase is priced at ₹2,000, the ticket can be listed for up to ₹4,000.

Once a ticket is sold, Zomato will cancel the original ticket and issue a new one to the buyer, ensuring a smooth transaction. Sellers will receive the full value of their listed price, minus applicable taxes, transferred to their preferred payment method.

To prevent misuse and ensure fair practices, Zomato has implemented several safeguards. Customers can list up to 10 tickets per category, and the resale price is capped to avoid excessive pricing, especially during sold-out events.

This initiative is part of Zomato’s commitment to enhancing customer experience and fostering growth in the events industry in India. The company is eager to evolve this feature based on user feedback, aiming to build a truly customer-first platform.
