Welspun Corp signs MoU with Saudi Aramco to setup LSAW pipe facility in KSA

Welspun Corp Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Saudi Aramco at the IKTVA Forum & Exhibition 2025 to establish a state-of-the-art LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded) line pipe manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The facility, with a production capacity of 350,000 MT per annum, is set to be one of the largest in the region, reflecting Welspun’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality line pipes in Saudi Arabia.

The proposed plant will be located in Dammam 3rd Industrial City and is scheduled to commence operations by mid-2026. This venture aligns with Welspun Corp’s two-decade legacy of supplying line pipes to Saudi Aramco and its participation in numerous prestigious oil and gas pipeline projects across the Kingdom.

The facility will offer cutting-edge capabilities to service Saudi Aramco’s future line pipe requirements, including oil, gas, hydrogen transmission, and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) developments.

This strategic move signifies Welspun’s dedication to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and bolstering its position in the global energy sector.
