Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, a leading financial institution in India, has announced its provisional unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ending December 31, 2024. The report highlights significant growth in the bank’s loan portfolio, deposits, and efficient collection performance.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Gross Loan Portfolio Growth
    The bank’s gross loan portfolio reached ₹19,057 crore as of December 31, 2024, showing a robust 16.2% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to ₹16,407 crore in the same period last year. However, there was a slight 0.2% decrease quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), from ₹19,101 crore as of September 30, 2024.
  • JLG and Non-JLG Loan Portfolio
    The Joint Liability Group (JLG) loan portfolio amounted to ₹9,737 crore, a 1.2% YoY decline from ₹9,852 crore in December 2023. In contrast, the non-JLG loan portfolio saw a substantial 42.2% YoY increase, rising from ₹6,555 crore in Q3 FY24 to ₹9,320 crore in Q3 FY25. This indicates the bank’s growing focus on expanding its non-JLG lending segment.
  • Total Deposits Surge
    Total deposits for the bank grew by 33.5% YoY, amounting to ₹20,172 crore in December 2024, compared to ₹15,111 crore in the same period last year. On a QoQ basis, total deposits increased by 3.5%, from ₹19,496 crore in Q2 FY25.
  • CASA Deposits
    Current Account Savings Account (CASA) deposits stood at ₹3,973 crore as of December 31, 2024, reflecting a 31.7% YoY growth. CASA deposits contributed to the overall liquidity strength of the bank, with the CASA ratio for the quarter at 19.7%, consistent with the previous quarter (19.6%).
  • Retail Term Deposits
    Retail term deposits surged by 40.6% YoY, reaching ₹10,163 crore compared to ₹7,228 crore in December 2023. On a QoQ basis, retail term deposits rose by 6.8%, indicating strong customer trust and confidence in the bank’s savings products.
  • Bulk Term Deposits
    Bulk term deposits increased by 24.0% YoY, amounting to ₹6,036 crore. However, on a QoQ basis, the bulk term deposits saw a slight decline of 2.0%, from ₹6,159 crore in Q2 FY25.

Collection Efficiency

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank reported a collection efficiency of 87.7% for its Micro Banking loan portfolio for Q3 FY25.

Liquidity Coverage Ratio

The Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) stood at an impressive 184% as of December 31, 2024.
