United Spirits Limited has reported its financial results for the second quarter of FY25, showing a slight decline in revenue from operations while maintaining steady profitability. The company’s revenue from operations for Q2 FY25 stood at ₹6,672 crore, down 1% compared to ₹6,737 crore in the same quarter last year.

Despite the decline in revenue, the company’s profit after tax (PAT) saw a modest increase of 0.6%, reaching ₹341 crore in Q2 FY25, up from ₹339 crore in Q2 FY24. This growth in PAT can be attributed to effective cost management and stable margins despite the lower revenue.

Segmental Performance:

  • Beverage Alcohol: Revenue for the Beverage Alcohol segment was ₹2,843 crore in Q2 FY25, compared to ₹2,865 crore in Q2 FY24. The segment’s EBITDA was ₹511 crore, up from ₹470 crore in the previous year.
  • Sports: The Sports segment recorded a revenue of ₹1 crore in Q2 FY25, down from ₹4 crore in Q2 FY24. The segment posted a loss of ₹9 crore in Q2 FY25, compared to a loss of ₹2 crore in the same quarter last year.
  • Excise Duty: The excise duty for the Beverage Alcohol segment was ₹3,828 crore, slightly down from ₹3,868 crore in Q2 FY24.

  • Total assets for the company stood at ₹11,955 crore as of September 30, 2024, compared to ₹11,028 crore a year ago.
  • Total liabilities were ₹4,323 crore, largely unchanged from the same period last year.
