Transport Corporation of India Limited (TCI), India’s leading integrated logistics and supply chain solutions provider listed on the NSE and BSE, has announced a strategic collaboration with FLYING WHALES and its operational subsidiary FLYING WHALES SERVICES. The announcement was made on the occasion of the official summit between Emmanuel Macron and Narendra Modi, reflecting deepening Indo-French cooperation in advanced technology and sustainable infrastructure.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Mr. Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director of TCI, Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Chief Business Officer of TCI, and Mr. Sébastien Bougon, President of FLYING WHALES and FLYING WHALES SERVICES.

Under this collaboration, TCI will work closely with FLYING WHALES and FWS to explore opportunities around the LCA60T aeronautical program in India. The LCA60T is a next-generation rigid cargo airship designed to carry payloads of up to 60 tons. A defining feature of the aircraft is its ability to load and unload cargo while in stationary flight, removing dependence on conventional airport infrastructure. This capability is expected to open new possibilities for transporting heavy and oversized cargo across challenging terrains and remote locations.

The partnership aims to support the decarbonisation of goods transportation in India by introducing innovative airship-based logistics solutions. With growing emphasis on sustainability and efficient supply chain networks, the integration of advanced airship technology could significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with heavy and bulky cargo movement. The initiative is also expected to strengthen multimodal logistics frameworks by combining TCI’s extensive domestic network with FLYING WHALES’ aerospace innovation.
