Tata Technologies and BMW Group have officially launched BMW TechWorks India, a joint venture focused on advancing automotive software and business IT innovations. The JV aims to innovate software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and digital transformation solutions for business IT.
Strategically located in Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai, the JV will integrate into BMW Group’s global network of software and IT hubs, with plans to scale rapidly to a workforce of over 1,000 employees by 2025. This partnership will leverage Tata Technologies’ expertise across the entire product value chain and BMW Group’s leadership in automotive technology to engineer next-gen solutions for mobility, including automated driving and digital infotainment.
Warren Harris, CEO of Tata Technologies, emphasized the partnership’s potential to redefine the future of mobility, while BMW executives highlighted the critical role Indian tech talent will play in global vehicle software development.
