TP Solar Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has won a prestigious contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for supplying 292.5 MWp Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) Solar Modules. This contract, valued at approximately ₹632 crore, is part of SECI’s 400 MWp CPSU Scheme Tranche-III project.

The high-quality DCR modules will be delivered to Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing TP Solar’s leadership in India’s renewable energy sector. This achievement aligns with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, promoting locally manufactured solar technology. The competitive bidding and e-Reverse Auction process highlight TP Solar’s strong manufacturing capabilities and commitment to sustainable energy.

Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System), SECI stated, “The CPSU Scheme is a crucial initiative to enhance domestic solar manufacturing and strengthen India’s energy security. By awarding this contract to TP Solar, we are taking a significant step towards fostering self-reliance in the solar sector and ensuring that large-scale renewable projects are powered by high-quality, locally manufactured modules. Tata Power Renewables’ expertise and commitment to excellence align well with our vision of accelerating India’s clean energy transition while promoting indigenous manufacturing. This project will contribute to the country’s renewable energy targets, create economic opportunities, and support the long-term sustainability of the solar industry”.

The project delivery is scheduled from October 2025 to January 2026. TP Solar’s advanced manufacturing plant, the largest of its kind in India, ensures the production of high-efficiency solar modules, supporting India’s clean energy transition.
