Tata Power has reported its financial results for the second quarter of FY25, showing modest growth in both revenue and profit compared to the same period last year. The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹15,697.57 crore, a 0.8% increase from ₹15,738.03 crore in Q2 FY24. Total income for the quarter was ₹16,210.80 crore, up from ₹16,029.54 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The profit before tax (PBT) for Q2 FY25 came in at ₹1,772.87 crore, marking a 44.8% increase compared to ₹1,230.86 crore in Q2 FY24. Profit after tax (PAT) rose by 7.5% year-over-year, reaching ₹1,093.08 crore, up from ₹1,017.41 crore in Q2 FY24.

Key Highlights:

  • Total Expenses: Tata Power’s total expenses rose slightly to ₹14,082.46 crore, up from ₹13,785.74 crore in Q2 FY24.
  • Earnings per Share (EPS): EPS before regulatory adjustments increased to ₹3.68 for Q2 FY25, from ₹2.93 in Q2 FY24.

The company attributed the growth in revenue and profitability to its focus on operational efficiencies and expansion in the renewable energy sector. Tata Power remains committed to its long-term strategy of sustainable growth and enhancing shareholder value.
