SPML Infra Limited has secured a Rs 165.41 crore contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL) for the construction of a 400 kV Grid Substation and transmission infrastructure at Dahra in Kota, Rajasthan. The project is scheduled to be executed over 18 months.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the order includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the 400 kV grid substation along with associated transmission infrastructure and civil works.
The scope of work includes one 500 MVA autotransformer bay, one 420 kV 125 MVAR bus-type shunt reactor bay, two 400 kV feeder bays, three 400 kV tie bays, along with automation and communication systems.
SPML Infra said the order strengthens its growing presence in the high-capacity power substation and transmission sector, particularly as Rajasthan continues expanding renewable energy-linked grid infrastructure.
Managing Director Abhinandan Sethi stated that the project marks another milestone in the company’s focus on strengthening India’s power infrastructure and complements its existing business across power, water and energy storage verticals.
The company highlighted that the order adds to its expanding power vertical and aligns with its strategy of focusing on high-margin, government-funded infrastructure projects.
