Shares of Suzlon Energy are likely to remain in focus after the company announced a new 195 MW wind energy order from Sunsure Energy, taking cumulative sales of its 3 MW platform to nearly 9 GW.

According to the company’s exchange filing dated May 22, Suzlon will supply 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW, for a project in Karnataka’s Bijapur district.

The company stated that this repeat order strengthens its partnership with Sunsure Energy, with the cumulative collaboration between the two companies now nearing 300 MW across Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Suzlon also said the latest order pushes its Karnataka order book beyond the 2 GW milestone, making the state one of its largest growth markets.

The company will undertake supply, erection, commissioning, and comprehensive operations and maintenance services for the project.

Suzlon highlighted that its S144 platform secured over 2.4 GW of orders in FY26, reflecting strong demand for its 3 MW series wind turbines.

Commenting on the development, Suzlon Group Executive Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said Karnataka has emerged as the company’s largest market by order book with over 2 GW of orders and added that rising demand from the commercial and industrial segment is supporting growth in wind-based renewable projects.

Sunsure Energy CEO Shashank Sharma stated that the partnership with Suzlon will support the company’s rapidly expanding round-the-clock renewable energy portfolio, including industrial decarbonisation, electric mobility and AI-driven energy demand.

Sunsure Energy currently has 700 MW of operational renewable energy assets and over 7.1 GW under development and construction, with a target of achieving 10 GW operational capacity by 2030.
