Spencer’s Retail Limited announced on Friday that its Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Manjir Basu as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective September 19, 2025. The decision came after the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee .
The appointment follows the transition of Sandeep Kumar Banka, who will move to a new role within the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group and step down from his position as CFO with effect from the same date .
Basu, a Chartered Accountant and St. Xavier’s College alumnus, brings over two decades of experience in financial management, business finance, cost control, treasury, fundraising, compliance, risk management, and digital transformation.
The board meeting to formalize this appointment commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at 10:50 a.m. on Friday .
