Sigachi Industries has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic accident at its Pashamylaram facility in Telangana, which claimed the lives of 40 team members and left over 33 others injured.

In a heartfelt statement, the company shared that its thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by the incident. “This is an unimaginable loss for all of us. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of our colleagues,” the company said.

As part of its commitment to support the affected families, Sigachi has announced an ex-gratia compensation of ₹1 crore for each of the deceased employees’ families. Those injured in the incident will receive full medical care and rehabilitation support.

The company clarified that contrary to some media reports, the accident was not caused by a reactor explosion. Sigachi is actively cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation and continues to coordinate emergency response efforts on the ground.

Operations at the facility will remain temporarily suspended for about 90 days as the company focuses on ensuring safety, compliance, and full transparency.
