RattanIndia Power reported a sharp decline in consolidated earnings for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, impacted by lower revenue and weaker operating performance. Revenue from operations fell 15.87% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹787.69 crore from ₹936.25 crore, while net profit declined 65.98% YoY to ₹42.84 crore from ₹125.94 crore.
Total income for the quarter stood at ₹855.11 crore compared to ₹1,028.61 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total expenses declined to ₹812.27 crore from ₹902.67 crore, primarily due to lower fuel, power and water consumption costs.
At the operating level, EBITDA stood at ₹129.63 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹211.84 crore in the year-ago period, registering a decline of 38.81%. EBITDA margin contracted to 16.46% from 22.63%, reflecting pressure on operational profitability.
Finance costs declined to ₹90.70 crore from ₹118.38 crore, while depreciation and amortisation expense increased to ₹63.51 crore from ₹59.88 crore.
Profit before tax came in at ₹42.84 crore compared to ₹125.94 crore a year ago. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹0.08 versus ₹0.23 in the corresponding quarter last year.
RattanIndia Power operates thermal power generation assets and is engaged in supplying electricity through its large-scale power projects.
Overall, the company reported weaker quarterly performance amid lower revenue generation and a decline in operating margins.
