PG Electroplast Ltd., through its step-down subsidiary, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to set up a new greenfield manufacturing facility at Kamargaon in Ahilyanagar. The project will see an investment of ₹1,000 crores and is expected to create over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in the region.

The MoU was signed yesterday at the Sahyadri State Guest House, Malabar Hill, Mumbai, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, and other senior state officials including Dr. P. Anbalagan (Secretary of Industries, Energy and Labour Department), Kaustubh Dhavse (Chief Advisor – Investments & Strategy to CM), P. Velrasu (CEO, MIDC), and Deependra Singh Kushwah (Development Commissioner – Industries).

As part of the Magnetic Maharashtra initiative, this greenfield project will focus on setting up state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing capacities for air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and allied consumer electronic products. The large-scale facility is aimed at strengthening the consumer electronics ecosystem in western India and boosting local manufacturing under the Make in India vision.
