Nvidia became the world’s most valuable company after its share price climbed to an all-time high on Tuesday.
The stock ended the trading session at nearly $136, rose 3.5%, making it more valuable than Microsoft. The company overtook Apple earlier this month.
The tech giant is into the production of computer chips, which are required for artificial intelligence (AI) software, and demand for it has boosted its sales and profits over the last few years.
Many investors believe its earnings can grow even more, which has resulted in its share price soaring, though the valuation being sky-high is also questioned by a few.
Post the trading session on Tuesday, the company is now valued at $3.34 trillion, with the price having nearly doubled since the start of his year.
Eight years ago, the firm was valued at less than 1% of its current price.
