Mahindra EPC Irrigation Ltd. on April 23 reported its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2026, posting strong growth in both revenue and profitability despite a challenging operating environment.
The company recorded its highest-ever annual revenue of ₹315.79 crore for FY26, marking a 14.5% increase from ₹275.09 crore reported in the previous financial year. Profit before tax (PBT) rose sharply by 58.5% year-on-year to ₹16.99 crore, compared to ₹10.71 crore in FY25.
Profit after tax (PAT) saw a robust jump of 76%, coming in at ₹12.69 crore for FY26 as against ₹7.21 crore in the previous year, reflecting improved operational efficiency and disciplined financial management.
The company attributed its performance to focused market development initiatives, a strategic shift towards non-subsidy business avenues, and continued investments in strengthening organisational capabilities. Management also highlighted that prudent financial practices and calibrated operations helped navigate sectoral challenges during the year.
During FY26, the micro-irrigation industry faced headwinds such as delays in fund releases by nodal agencies, uneven rainfall patterns across regions, and the late-year impact of global geopolitical developments on input costs and sentiment. Despite these challenges, Mahindra EPC Irrigation managed to deliver its highest-ever annual revenue, underlining the resilience of its business model.
The company also worked on building a robust work-order pipeline for irrigation projects, positioning itself for sustained growth in the coming years. It calibrated operations in key regions to manage concentration risks and strengthen internal processes, while continuing to explore opportunities beyond government-driven demand.
Looking ahead, the company said it is closely monitoring global developments and the upcoming monsoon season while recalibrating its market strategy. The reduction in GST on micro-irrigation systems from 12% to 5%, coupled with increased government focus on expanding irrigation coverage and renewed activity in key states, is expected to support sector growth.
Mahindra EPC Irrigation remains optimistic about the long-term prospects of the micro-irrigation industry, driven by structural demand for water-efficient farming solutions and expanding adoption of precision agriculture technologies.
