KEC International Ltd., a global EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) major under the RPG Group, announced on January 8, 2025, that it has secured new orders worth ₹1,136 crore across various business segments.
Key Highlights:
- Transmission & Distribution (T&D): A 765 kV Transmission Line project awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for green energy evacuation.
- Transportation: A significant contract in the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) segment under the ‘Kavach’ initiative, aimed at enhancing railway safety.
- Oil & Gas Pipelines: The company’s first composite order (design, supply, and build) in the Oil & Gas sector from a leading PSU in India.
CEO’s Remarks: Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International, commented, “These new orders bolster our order book significantly, particularly in green energy and railway safety technologies. Our pipeline project marks a strategic expansion into composite infrastructure solutions.”
This latest addition raises KEC’s year-to-date (YTD) order intake to ₹20,600 crore, reflecting a robust 80% growth compared to the previous year.
