JTL Industries secures Rs 24 crore order for 3,000 metric tonnes of GI pipes under Jal Jeevan Mission

JTL Industries Limited has secured a significant order valued at Rs 24 crore to supply 3,000 metric tonnes of Galvanized Iron (GI) pipes of assorted sizes to the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Jammu, under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The company has committed to completing the delivery within the next 30 days, ensuring timely support for the ongoing national water supply initiative.

The Jal Jeevan Mission, launched on August 15, 2019, has been instrumental in expanding rural water access. As of February 1, 2025, the mission has increased tap water coverage from 17% to 79.74% of rural households. With the government extending the initiative until 2028, an additional Rs 4 lakh crore is required to cover the final 20% of households, with Rs 67,000 crore earmarked for FY 2025-26.
