JSW Steel’s subsidiary commissions 4.5 MTPA blast furnace at Vijayanagar Plant

JSW Vijayanagar Metallics Ltd., a subsidiary of JSW Steel, has successfully commissioned a 4.5 MTPA blast furnace at its Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka. This marks a key milestone in the commissioning of the Integrated JVML 5 MTPA facility. JVML’s commissioning boosts JSW Steel’s status as one of the world’s leading steel manufacturers.

The new blast furnace, one of India’s largest, marks a significant step forward in JSW Steel’s strategic growth in Vijayanagar.  The expansion supports contribute to the Indian government’s efforts such as Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, which seek to promote self-reliance in vital sectors.
