IRCON wins contract worth Rs 194.46 crore for 665 Kavach towers installation

Ircon International Limited (IRCON) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from Central Railway for a significant infrastructure project. The contract involves the survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 665 towers for Kavach, a cutting-edge railway safety system aimed at preventing collisions.

This domestic works contract, valued at approximately ₹194.46 crore, will enhance railway safety and efficiency. IRCON, known for its expertise in infrastructure development, will execute the project within 14 months from the LOA issuance date.

In the meantime, on February 7, Ircon was awarded a significant ₹531.9 crore EPC contract for infrastructure development in Manipur. The project, granted through a Letter of Acceptance by the Office of the Project Director, Externally Aided Projects (EAP), Public Works Department (PWD), involves constructing rigid pavement and lined drains along selected roads in the Imphal South Division.

Spanning a total length of 111.182 km, the project will be executed in partnership with AMRIL, which holds a 74% share in the joint venture. Ircon’s contribution stands at ₹138.29 crore, accounting for 26% of the total value. The construction work is set to be completed within 36 months, enhancing road infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
