GR Infraprojects acquires Bijapur REZ Transmission for Rs 11.4 crore

GR Infraprojects Limited announced the acquisition of Bijapur REZ Transmission Limited (BRTL) for ₹11.4 crore, solidifying its expansion in the power transmission sector. The company entered a share purchase agreement with PFC Consulting Limited, making BRTL its wholly owned subsidiary. This acquisition aligns with the Letter of Intent (LOI) received for the “Transmission Scheme for integration of Bijapur REZ in Karnataka.”

The Bijapur REZ Transmission project includes the establishment of a 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA pooling station near Bijapur, along with associated transmission lines and infrastructure. This move marks GR Infraprojects’ strategic entry into power transmission, ensuring operational readiness for the project under the conditions of the Request for Proposal (RFP).

G R Infraprojects Limited has received a Letter of Intent (“LOI”) for the project “Transmission Scheme for integration of Bijapur REZ in the State of Karnataka‐ Establishment of 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station near Bijapur (Vijayapura), Karnataka Bijapur PS – Raichur New 400kV (Quad ACSR moose) D/c line and 400 kV line bays – 2 nos. (at Raichur New) 2x125MVAr 420kV bus reactors at Bijapur PS.” – company stated in an exchange filing.

With this acquisition, GR Infraprojects aims to bolster its capabilities in power infrastructure, contributing to Karnataka’s growing energy demands. The transaction was executed at arm’s length, with no promoter or group company involvement.
