EMS Limited has announced that it has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation for a major pollution abatement project aimed at rejuvenating the Adi Ganga river in Kolkata, West Bengal. This development follows the company’s earlier disclosure dated September 19, 2024, where it had been declared the Lowest Bidder (L1) for the tender.

The project is valued at approximately ₹781.98 crore (including GST, Operation & Maintenance, and associated charges). EMS Limited holds a 74% share in the joint venture awarded the contract, with the remainder held by its JV partner.

The scope of work includes both design and execution under a “Design and Build” model, with a project implementation period of 36 months. Following the construction phase, EMS will also handle the Operation and Maintenance of the facilities for a period of 15 years. This marks a significant long-term engagement for the company within the municipal infrastructure and environmental services domain.

The order has been issued by a domestic entity and does not involve any related party transaction. Additionally, the promoter or promoter group has no interest in the awarding body, confirming full compliance with SEBI regulations.
