Concord Control Systems Limited has received a significant clean-energy rail order through its wholly owned subsidiary, Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited, reinforcing its presence in next-generation railway technologies. The contract has been awarded by NTPC Limited. 

The order involves the supply of all plant and equipment required for a 3,100 HP green hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive. This locomotive will be retrofitted and deployed for operational use at NTPC’s Sipat facility, marking an important step toward decarbonisation of industrial rail operations in India. The project reflects NTPC’s continued focus on adopting hydrogen-based solutions as part of its broader clean energy transition.

The total contract value is approximately ₹47 crore, and execution is scheduled to be completed within a period of 18 months. The scope of work includes comprehensive supply responsibilities for the green hydrogen fuel cell locomotive system, covering all essential plant and equipment needed for successful retrofitting and operations at the Sipat site.

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, and there is no promoter or promoter group interest involved in the awarding company. Additionally, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring that it has been awarded on an independent and arm’s length basis.
