Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seatrium Letourneau USA, Inc. (SLET) to develop specialized jack-up rig designs and critical equipment for the Indian market.
The collaboration combines CSL’s extensive shipbuilding expertise with SLET’s renowned design and technical capabilities to create Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs) tailored to meet the unique needs of the Indian offshore drilling sector.
This strategic partnership is part of India’s broader “Make in India” initiative, which encourages domestic manufacturing and innovation. The agreement aims to strengthen CSL’s position in the growing offshore industry while contributing to the country’s energy sector development.
