Ceigall India Limited has added another major infrastructure project to its growing portfolio after its wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited, received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Limited (MPRDC). The contract is for the construction of the Indore–Ujjain Greenfield (access-controlled) four-lane highway with paved shoulders under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
The project involves the development of a 48.10-kilometre-long access-controlled greenfield highway, beginning near Pitra Parvat at Km 0.000 and ending at Km 48.100, including the Simhastha bypass at Km 2.600. The highway is designed to significantly improve connectivity between Indore and Ujjain, two of Madhya Pradesh’s most important economic and religious centres.
Awarded at a bid project cost of ₹1,089 crore, the highway project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the date of appointment. Under the HAM framework, Ceigall Infra Projects will be responsible for executing the construction works in line with prescribed guidelines, ensuring quality, durability, and efficient project delivery.
The Indore–Ujjain Greenfield Highway is expected to play a crucial role in easing traffic congestion on the existing routes while enabling safer, faster, and more efficient vehicular movement. The access-controlled design will support high-speed travel and enhance overall road safety, benefiting daily commuters, commercial transport, and pilgrims travelling to Ujjain.
Commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India Limited, said the project holds strategic importance for the state. He noted that receiving the LOA from MPRDC reflects the company’s strong execution capabilities in complex Hybrid Annuity Mode projects and its commitment to delivering high-quality road infrastructure with a focus on safety, durability, and timely completion.
